در اقلیمهای خشک و نیمهخشک، که بهدلیل مشکل کمآبی کشت دیم با چالشهایی مواجه است؛ لازم است بهطور ویژه عوامل مؤثر بر رشد بررسی شود. پژوهش حاضر با هدف ارزیابی نقش عوامل مؤثر بر طول دورۀ زمانی مراحل مختلف فنولوژیک جو دیم در یک منطقه با اقلیم نیمهخشک انجام شد. برای این منظور، مدت زمان مراحل مختلف فنولوژیک پنج دورۀ مختلف رشد جو دیم از قبیل: کاشت-سبزشدن، سبزشدن-پنجهزنی، پنجهزنی-ساقهدهی، ساقهدهی-گلدهی و گلدهی-رسیدن کامل در ایستگاه سرارود کرمانشاه طی دورۀ 1379 تا 1394 استخراج شد. با محاسبه 12 متغیر مختلف برای هر کدام از این دورهها، متغیرهایی که دارای تأثیر معنیدار بر روی طول هر کدام از این دورهها بودند شناسایی شد. برای ارزیابی تأثیر آنها بر طول هر کدام از مراحل فنولوژیک از روش تجزیه مؤلفههای اصلی استفاده شد. یافتهها نشان داد که از بین متغیرهای انتخابشده در پژوهش حاضر، متغیرهای مبتنی بر درجه روز رشد شامل شاخصهای GDD و PTU و متغیرهای مبتنی بر تابش جذبشده از جمله تابش خالص و میانگین شبانهروزی دمای سطح خاک دارای بیشترین تأثیر بر طول مراحل مختلف رشد جو دیم دارند. متغیرهای مبتنی بر تبخیر-تعرق، تأمین رطوبت خاک و متغیر تکمیلی بر روی طول دو مرحله از رشد تأثیرگذار بودند. بیشترین مقدار تغییرپذیری طول دورههای مختلف رشد که در قالب روش تجزیه مؤلفههای اصلی توجیه شده بود، برای دورۀ کاشت–سبزشدن بهدست آمد. یافتههای کلی نشان داد که روش تجزیه مؤلفههای اصلی در کنار قابلیت زیادی که برای شناسایی عوامل مؤثر بر طول مراحل مختلف فنولوژیک دارد، به خوبی قادر به ساماندهی اثر متقابل بین این عوامل نیز است.
